An 18th century Mozart portrait?!
This 18th century miniature portrait was purchased by Pooya Radbon
from an antique dealer and according to him, it came from Switzerland.
Its authenticity of being painted in the 18th century is proved by scholars but we do not know the provences of this miniature (gouach on ivory) therefore we can not trace and prove that this is a Mozart portrait but comparing all parts of this face to other world known Mozart portraits we have from Krafft, Stock, Posch a few anonymus painters and Lange this one shows significant similarities which amazes us!
There are several more doubtful Mozart portraits which even look less like the Mozart face we know from these known ones.
